1916, Verdun, Wood of the Caures, you play a French soldier during the Great War of 14-18. For 3 days, you will have to defend your trench with 3 of your brothers-in-arms against the incessant attacks of the German infantry, artillery, air force and tanks.
History
Prologue July 28, 1914, day of celebration in the village. «When I came back from reaping, Victor, who was polishing his trumpet, said to me, don’t you know the news?…We’re going to have a war! I left my scythe for a rifle ». The players are briefed and equipped.
Chapter 1 – February 1916, Bois des Caures, Verdun. « We became shadows…living in the darkest recesses of the earth, I hear Victor’s bugle on the back line that gives me hope ». Players face infantry charges and artillery fire.
Chapter 2 – May 1916. « We are only a handful of survivors left, the back line has fallen, I no longer hear the trumpet of Victor ». Players face infantry charges on two fronts, sustained artillery fire and an air raid.
Chapter 3 – July 1916. « We were only 4 soldiers facing the enemy legions and death brandishing the scythe and I the rifle… I was regretting the day I made that cursed exchange ». Players are on their own and face infantry charges on two fronts, artillery fire, an air raid and the final attack of an armored vehicle.
Epilogue – November 1918, in the village. « Our village is celebrating the end of the war… they are going to give us the medals, I hear the orchestra setting up… A statue commemorates our heroes ». Scores and medals are given to the players.

The aiming system is based on the Shotgun fire (3D printed weapon).

Vibrators are triggered by zone depending on zone damage (artillery, air force and tank).

In the trench, hidden objects offer offensive or defensive improvements.
Tactical choices
Players can make tactical choices with the radio officer (artillery fire, reinforcements…)
Scoring
Display of scores between each day. At the end of the game, display of the team score and individual scores (Hall of Fame).
